<p>Fountain University, Osogbo, has unveiled a forward-looking digital skills initiative designed to equip every student with at least two globally recognised certifications before graduation, reinforcing its commitment to producing future-ready graduates. The programme, to be delivered through the University&rsquo;s Centre for Research, Innovation and Technology, will leverage partnerships with the Cisco Networking Academy and Microsoft Training Initiative. The move is aimed at strengthening students&rsquo; employability while empowering them to become job creators in an increasingly digital and innovation-driven economy. Announcing the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, described the initiative as a strategic step towards aligning academic learning with industry demands. According to her, the University is deliberately expanding capacity in key areas such as practical digital competencies, industry-relevant certifications, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as problem-solving and solution-driven skills. &ldquo;This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to raising graduates who are not only academically sound but also digitally skilled and globally competitive,&rdquo; she stated. Professor Karim emphasized that Fountain University&rsquo;s educational philosophy goes beyond traditional classroom instruction, stressing that modern graduates must possess both academic excellence and practical, technology-driven capabilities. &ldquo;With this initiative, we are intentionally positioning our students to stand out globally and contribute meaningfully to national and global development. Fountain University is not only preparing graduates for jobs but empowering them to create jobs,&rdquo; she added. The initiative marks another significant step in the University&rsquo;s steady rise as a hub for innovation, skills development, and transformative education in Nigeria&rsquo;s higher education landscape.</p>
