FUO Announces One-Week Sallah Break for Eid-il-Adha Celebration

<p>Fountain University, Osogbo, has announced a one-week Sallah break for staff and students in celebration of the forthcoming 1447 AH Eid-il-Adha festival. According to an internal memorandum issued by the Registrar, Mr. Adenekan Sherrif, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, approved the break on behalf of the University Management to enable members of the community participate fully in the spiritual activities and celebrations associated with the festival. The break will commence on Monday, May 25, 2026, and end on Friday, May 29, 2026, while official activities are expected to resume on Monday, June 1, 2026. The Management, however, noted that personnel on essential services are required to remain at their duty posts throughout the holiday period to ensure uninterrupted delivery of critical services within the University. Students were also advised to return to campus not later than Sunday, May 31, 2026, as continuous assessment tests for the ongoing academic session are scheduled to commence on Monday, June 1, 2026. In the message, the Vice-Chancellor encouraged members of the University community to reflect on the enduring values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, noting that the Eid-il-Adha season offers an opportunity for spiritual reflection, love, and kindness toward humanity. The University Management further prayed that the celebration would bring peace, joy, and abundant blessings to staff, students, and their families. Eidukum Mubarak.
